Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Galaxy Note 4 has the same 4.7-inch sized screen as the Note 3. The Note 4 is taller and thicker than last year’s model. The difference is minimal and the Galaxy Note 4 doesn’t feel ridiculous in one hand, mostly because we’re so used to these over-sized handsets now.

Samsung definitely stepped up with its more premium metallic design, first spotted on the Galaxy Alpha. The metallic trim feels solid and looks the business, nicely complemented by the soft faux leather backing.

Samsung has retained the 5.7-inch screen of the Galaxy Note 3, but the Note 4’s Super AMOLED display now boasts sharper images thanks to the Quad HD resolution. At 515 pixels-per-inch (ppi), matches LG G3’s display.

The Note 4’s screen is just as enjoyable to use as the Note 3’s. Colours are greatly reproduced, looking as good as Sony Xperia Z3’s screen.

You will be disappointed with the Note 4’s little speaker. it is placed at the back of the device and the sound isn’t too great. There are much cheaper devices that sound much better (OnePlus for example).

The Note 4 has the same fingerprint scanner found on the Galaxy S5 and it seems more accurate here. You can only set up three prints. Another feature ported from the Galaxy S5 is the heart rate sensor, housed on the back of the phone.

The Note 4’s 16 mb camera has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
